Register Now for Fall Cisco Networking Academy Cohort
As part of CAP’s on-going partnership with Cisco Networking Academy, a fall cohort will soon be open for CAP members to register. The cohort will run 1 October through 31 December 2021.
With the kick off of National Hispanic Heritage Month on Wednesday September 15th, it is important to note that this fall, all CAP NetAcad courses will be offered in Spanish! Sara Shreve, Cisco Business Development Manager, commented, “After participating in the 2021 CAP National Conference and joining the Recruiting for Diversity session, it was clear to me that NetAcad could help CAP become more inclusive by offering courses in different languages. We are starting off with Spanish and are extremely excited to launch this effort as cybersecurity training is important no matter what language you speak!” CAP is dedicated to supporting all members through including all cultures and languages as much as possible. Lt. Col. Juan Rodriguez, CAP’s National Diversity Officer, commented, “We are very excited about this development which will have a positive impact on our Spanish speaking members across the nation. I am grateful to Cisco for providing this opportunity. ”
Over six different course options are available including Introduction to Cybersecurity, Linux, Introduction to Cisco’s Packet Tracer, and more. Since January 2021, over 2,900 members have enrolled in the Cisco Networking Academy courses so far. All members are also encouraged to work through the material together and complete the quizzes individually to receive completion credit and a digital badge. Visit cyber.cap.gov for more information!
